The Teaching Council of Ireland have awarded recognition to NUI Maynooth's Business (in Bachelor of Arts) programme for teaching at post primary level.
Welcoming this decision, Professor Robert Galavan, Head of the School of Business at NUI Maynooth, commented: 'Students who take business are exposed to a number of disciplines and topics as part of their coursework, and the School has aimed from the outset to provide the broadest possible range of opportunities for students to explore ways in which they can have careers that not only are fulfilling in themselves, but also provide value to society and organisations. We are delighted that the Teaching Council of Ireland have recognised Business in Arts as a subject for teaching, as it broadens the range of opportunities available to our students upon graduation. As Ireland's fastest growing Business School we continually strive to liaise with organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sector in order to produce graduates who can meet the needs of a changing world.'
