NUIM EQUINE BUSINESS STUDENTS SWEEP TO AN EMPHATIC VICTORY!
Photographed with An Taoiseach Enda Kenny are students from the BBS in Equine Business, NUIM following their decisive victory in the inaugural intervarsity challenge held during the recent Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association International Expo and Symposium.
This event is a showcase for the Irish thoroughbred breeding and racing industry with an international attendance. The event was officially launched by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, who highlighted the €1 billion contribution the sector made to the Irish economy last year and the thousands of jobs generated.
The winning team of (L to R) Dermot Littlefield, Owen Healy, Leonora Lynch, Kate McNamara joined here by classmate John Rowe(far left) were congratulated by the Taoiseach after they saw off teams from the equine courses at University College Dublin, University of Limerick, Enniskillen College and the Irish National Stud to lift the perpetual cup.
