 Professor Huff was appointed as visiting Professor for Research Development in 2011 and works with the faculty of the business school to develop its research strategy and capabilities.

Anne Huff is an Academic Director of CLIC, the Center for Leading Innovation & Cooperation at HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management and a Permanent Visiting Professor of Strategy and Innovation at the TUM Business School in Munich. She is also the Founding Director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM), a UK wide management research initiative with offices at London Business School.  In additional to visiting appointments at LBS and Cranfield School of Management, she served on the faculty at the Universities of Colorado, Illinois, and UCLA.  She earned a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University (philosophy), as well as an MA (sociology) and PhD (management) from Northwestern University.

Her research interests focus on open innovation, strategic change, and the processes of academic research and publication. In 1998-99 she was President of the Academy of Management, an association of management researchers with over 18,000 members worldwide; she held associated leadership positions from 1995 to 2001.  In 2003 she received the Distinguished Scholar Award of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Division of that association. In 2009 she received an honorary doctorate from Jönköping University in Sweden.
